Two narcissistic sociopaths with no regard for the lives of others hold the fate of millions of innocent people in their hands.<\/a><\/p>\n

Trump, recall, is a man who analyzes the world in terms of ratings. He actually boastingly compared his ratings to 9\/11<\/a>, making clear his sociopathy.<\/p>\n

He used the suffering of a widow he had made a widow as a platform for his own self-aggrandizement and actually boasted during his SOTU about the length of the applause<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is a man who refers to the military as \u201c my military<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

He is a narcissist who has learned the extremely dangerous truth that even though he cannot get anything else done do to his ignorance and incompetence concerning the Constitution, he is Commander-in-Chief and can order \u201chis\u201d military into harm\u2019s way. And he has learned the even more dangerous truth that the reaction of the media and the public has, historically, been to give the Executive a bump in the polls when he kills people and blows stuff up.<\/p>\n

So yeah, I think it\u2019s obvious this dangerous sociopath is itching for war and that the dangerous sociopath he wants to attack may do the incalculable (including use nukes) in retaliation. If he does, the nukes will probably be used locally, not against the US, but that will be small comfort to Australia, South Korea, or Japan. And if NOKO does that, it\u2019s quite possible Trump may launch nukes too. This is, after all, the erratic man with a track record of terrifying statements about and fascination with such weapons.<\/a> <\/p>\n

But nukes or no, history demonstrates abundantly that \u201ccakewalk\u201d wars the US launches can spiral out of control. A war that spills over on to, say, China could have catastrophic consequences for the entire planet.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s all a prudential judgment and certainly has nothing to do with Catholic teaching, so I need to shut up and focus on abortion, euthanasia (except for the euthanasia called \u201ccapital punishment\u201d in Arkansas cuz that\u2019s also prudential judgement), gay marriage, ESCR, and human cloning. Those are the only moral issues that matter. If Trump plunges us into a foolish war with North Korea that kills millions, our children will praise the wisdom and prudence of the Catholic prolife Trump defender.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
