I\u2019m one of those people who generally thinks that when an entire people attests to the reality of a historical event, it\u2019s a safe bet that something, rather than nothing, lies behind it.\u00a0 Confident declarations that there is *nothing* to the Flood story, *nothing* to the Exodus and *nothing* to the claim that Jesus existed and *nothing* to the belief of his disciples that he was raised from the dead have always had the same effect on me as more recent claims that the Middle Ages never occurred<\/a>\u00a0and are part of a gigantic plot: they just seem crazy to me.\u00a0 As crazy as claiming 9\/11 or Sandy Hook never happened.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
