Dear Friend of the C.S. Lewis Foundation,<\/p>\n

We are writing today to make you aware of a project we are supporting from our long-time friends and conference alumni Ralph Linhardt and Joseph Loconte.<\/p>\n

A new documentary film series, \u201cA Hobbit a Wardrobe and a Great War,\u201d about the transformative friendship between C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien forged amid the trauma of war, is in production!<\/p>\n

We are delighted to present to you the official trailer for this five-part documentary series<\/a> along with a brief word from the producers:<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the generous support of the C.S. Lewis Foundation and others, the film is in full production.<\/p>\n

With financial assistance from participants at the 2017 Oxbridge conference who were inspired by the film\u2019s compelling Christian vision, we have completed nearly a third of the project. As Stan Mattson put it recently, \u201cthis film must be made!\u201d<\/p>\n

But it simply will not be made without your help. We invite you \u2014 we urge you \u2014 to join with us in bringing this redemptive story to a wide and diverse audience.<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s release date is set for 11.11.2018, to coincide with the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War 1 \u2013 the great tragedy of the twentieth century.<\/p>\n

We intend to make the Christian vision of Lewis and Tolkien, both veterans of the Great War, part of the cultural conversation. But if sufficient funds are not raised to complete production, the project will die before its message of grace can be shared with the world.<\/p>\n
