A reader writes:<\/p>\n
I know you take prayer requests. My dad\u2019s battle with cancer is nearing its end. He\u2019s been enrolled in hospice and is still at home. Poor guy can\u2019t do any necessary tasks by himself anymore. <\/p>\n
He\u2019s a Catholic and has had confession , communion, and anointing.<\/p>\n
Thankfully he\u2019s still alert but honestly we don\u2019t know how long he has. It could be another few weeks, maybe less, we just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n
Please pray for my dad Howard Askwith and my whole family, especially my mother.<\/p>\n

Father, hear our prayer for your son Howard, for his wife, and for all who love him, including his daughter. Help him to finish the business in this life he still needs to do and then grant him the grace of a happy death and a blessed eternity in the communion of saints through Christ our Lord, where he will one day share in the new heaven and the new earth in his glorified body.
