The Gun Cult and its wholly owned subsidiary, the GOP, has made an implacable enemy of a whole generation of kids who clearly understand that the GOP does not care if they live or die.<\/p>\n

This fall, 4 million of them will be able to vote for the first time\u2013and they are coming for the Party of Trump.<\/p>\n

It could have been a golden opportunity for the Christianist liars who say, \u201cAll Lives Matter\u201d in order to shout down black people to put their money where their mouth is, be fully prolife, and stand with good kids who just don\u2019t want to live in fear of slaughter anymore.<\/p>\n

But of course, Christianist liars are liars when they say all lives matter.\u00a0 Only lives convenient to the GOP and the Gun Cult matter and that is sure as hell not the victims of Parkland whom the Gun Cult went from \u201crespecting in this time of tragedy\u201d to smearing as \u201ccrisis actors\u201d within a matter of days once it became clear that they were not going to take it any more.<\/p>\n

Since then, the Gun Cult has taken a\u00a0 helluva pounding from these kids, against whom no weapon the Gun Cult forms has prospered.\u00a0 The smears have all failed. Corporate America has frozen them out.\u00a0 People are laughing down their lies.\u00a0 Even YouTube turned on them, along with Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods and assorting other companies.\u00a0 LaPierre is freaking out.<\/p>\n

And now the GOP has finally cracked and said the CDC can do the study of gun violence they have wanted to do for 20 years (and the GOP has forbidden in its lickspittle servitude to the arms industry.<\/a>\u00a0 That is historic, assuming they really let them do it and don\u2019t try to dictate to them what they are allowed to find.<\/p>\n

And all because, by the grace of God, some kids said, \u201cEnough.\u201d<\/p>\n
