Praise the LORD!
\nFor it is good to sing praises to our God;
\nfor he is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly.
\nThe LORD builds up Jerusalem;
\nhe gathers the outcasts of Israel.
\nHe heals the brokenhearted,
\nand binds up their wounds.
\nHe determines the number of the stars,
\nhe gives to all of them their names.
\nGreat is our LORD, and abundant in power;
\nhis understanding is beyond measure.
\nThe LORD lifts up the downtrodden,
\nhe casts the wicked to the ground.<\/p>\n
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
\nmake melody to our God upon the lyre!
\nHe covers the heavens with clouds,
\nhe prepares rain for the earth,
\nhe makes grass grow upon the hills.
\nHe gives to the beasts their food,
\nand to the young ravens which cry.
\nHis delight is not in the strength of the horse,
\nnor his pleasure in the legs of a man;
\nbut the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him,
\nin those who hope in his steadfast love.
\nPraise the LORD, O Jerusalem!
\nPraise your God, O Zion!
\nFor he strengthens the bars of your gates;
\nhe blesses your sons within you.
\nHe makes peace in your borders;
\nhe fills you with the finest of the wheat.
\nHe sends forth his command to the earth;
\nhis word runs swiftly.
\nHe gives snow like wool;
\nhe scatters hoarfrost like ashes.
\nHe casts forth his ice like morsels;
\nwho can stand before his cold?
\nHe sends forth his word, and melts them;
\nhe makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.
\nHe declares his word to Jacob,
\nhis statutes and ordinances to Israel.
\nHe has not dealt thus with any other nation;
\nthey do not know his ordinances.
\nPraise the LORD!<\/p>\n

\nPraise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights!
\nPraise him, all his angels,
\npraise him, all his host!<\/p>\n
Praise him, sun and moon,
\npraise him, all you shining stars!
\nPraise him, you highest heavens,
\nand you waters above the heavens!<\/p>\n
Let them praise the name of the LORD!
\nFor he commanded and they were created.
\nAnd he established them for ever and ever;
\nhe fixed their bounds which cannot be passed.<\/p>\n
Praise the LORD from the earth,
\nyou sea monsters and all deeps,
\nfire and hail, snow and frost,
\nstormy wind fulfilling his command!<\/p>\n
Mountains and all hills,
\nfruit trees and all cedars!
\nBeasts and all cattle,
\ncreeping things and flying birds!<\/p>\n
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
\nprinces and all rulers of the earth!
\nYoung men and maidens together,
\nold men and children!<\/p>\n
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted;
\nhis glory is above earth and heaven.
\nHe has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints,
\nfor the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise the LORD!<\/p>\n
Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song,
\nhis praise in the assembly of the faithful!
\nLet Israel be glad in his Maker,
\nlet the sons of Zion rejoice in their King!
\nLet them praise his name with dancing,
\nmaking melody to him with timbrel and lyre!
\nFor the LORD takes pleasure in his people;
\nhe adorns the humble with victory.
\nLet the faithful exult in glory;
\nlet them sing for joy on their couches.
\nLet the high praises of God be in their throats
\nand two-edged swords in their hands,
\nto wreak vengeance on the nations
\nand chastisement on the peoples,
\nto bind their kings with chains
\nand their nobles with fetters of iron,
\nto execute on them the judgment written!
\nThis is glory for all his faithful ones.
\nPraise the LORD!<\/p>\n
* Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary;
\npraise him in his mighty firmament!
\nPraise him for his mighty deeds;
\npraise him according to his exceeding greatness!<\/p>\n
Praise him with trumpet sound;
\npraise him with lute and harp!
\nPraise him with timbrel and dance;
\npraise him with strings and pipe!
\nPraise him with sounding cymbals;
\npraise him with loud clashing cymbals!
