I am stealing these ideas from Deacon Nick Senger<\/a> and will put them in this space piecemeal each Friday during Lent with my own comments in boldface. I will try to do some of this stuff, but there\u2019s no way one person can do it all.\u00a0 If something grabs you, give it a whirl.<\/p>\n

    1. Give up candy\/sweets.\u00a0I\u2019ll try.\u00a0 But I reserve Sundays for cookies and I will use stuff like Crystal lite for drinks.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Give up television time. Nope.\u00a0 That\u2019s when I get to cuddle my sweetie.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Give up eating snacks between meals. Not really a fast thing for me since I don\u2019t snack between meals anyway. But I do tend to have late night snacks so maybe I\u2019ll give that a whack.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Give up or limit soda or coffee. Neither are a thing for me.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Give up or limit video games. Not a thing for me.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. Spend more time with family. Okay. But this seems like an odd choice for a fasting list.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Give to the poor<\/a>. We\u2019ll be exploring this more on Mondays.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    8. Do an extra chore each day. Today, my chore is posting stuff on Patheos.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    9. Perform a random act of kindness<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
