Lewis makes a terrifying and strangely ironic observation in his essay \u201cThe World\u2019s Last Night\u201d that applies profoundly to the evil heretical fertility cult of Mars that now has come to make unjust war the latest in the train of evils they use the unborn as human shields to defend:<\/p>\n

I can imagine no man who will look with more horror on the End than a conscientious revolutionary who has, in a sense sincerely, been justifying cruelties and injustices inflicted on millions of his contemporaries by the benefits which he hopes to confer on future generations: generations who, as one terrible moment now reveals to him, were never going to exist. Then he will see the massacres, the faked trials, the deportations, to be all ineffaceably real, an essential part, his part, in the drama that has just ended: while the future Utopia had never been anything but a fantasy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Cult has justified every despicable lie, crime, cruelty and evil their orange god has committed with \u201cBut abortion!\u201d and \u201cMost Prolifeyest President Ever\u201d as they have rationalized their cheerleading.\u00a0 Any day now, the Cult Leader\u2013whose party is 100% responsible for establishing (with Roe) and entrenching (with Casey) our abortion regime\u2013was going to finally magic abortion away, so any evil was defensible in the pursuit of that carrot.\u00a0 Well, here you go, suckers:<\/a><\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood\u2019s latest\u00a0annual report<\/a>\u00a0reveals it aborted 345,672 babies and received just over $616 million from taxpayers during its 2018 to 2019 fiscal year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And who passed that funding and signed it into law?\u00a0 That\u2019s right.\u00a0 The GOP Senate and Donald J. Trump, your great god and savior.<\/p>\n

Oh, but wait!\u00a0 There\u2019s more!\u00a0 The GOP that has, any minute now for 40 years been promising swift action on abortion has acted!\u00a0 This year the Party of Trump is funding PP for $550 million more!<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite earning\u00a0the praises of so-called pro-life leaders<\/a>\u00a0like Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser, who thanked Trump for his \u201cstrong leadership\u201d and also thanked Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy and a host of \u201cpro-life allies\u201d for \u201cholding pro-abortion Democrats accountable,\u201d the omnibus finances Planned Parenthood to the tune of more than $550 million by the end of the fiscal year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That\u2019s all because of Evil Democrats! replies the Cult of Trump\u2019s suckers.<\/p>\n

Nope.\u00a0 Not so much.<\/p>\n

Republicans and pro-life groups are pointing out how the GOP shot down last-minute riders to the omnibus that would have reversed Trump\u2019s ban of Title X funds to organizations promoting abortion and his\u00a0restoration of the Mexico City Policy<\/a>\u00a0banning funds for abortions outside the US as evidence that the party is keeping its promise to end abortion. Nothing could be further from the truth.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s \u201cProtect Life Rule<\/a>\u201d defunding abortion providers receiving Title X funds allegedly denied Planned Parenthood of nearly $60 million, but White House officials admitted this was untrue. Planned Parenthood could continue receiving Title X money with a little creative bookkeeping, something\u00a0the abortion provider elected not to do<\/a>, choosing instead to fight the Rule in court.<\/p>\n

This court battle is smoke and mirrors because Planned Parenthood funding has increased under Trump to the point where the $60 million \u201closs\u201d is on the way to being made up. Through Medicaid reimbursements and family planning grants, Planned Parenthood\u00a0funding has increased by nearly $20 million<\/a>\u00a0year-over-year since 2017-2018.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How could this happen, you ask? It\u2019s because the \u201cprolife\u201d MAGA Cult have been bamboozled by a little clever bookkeeping and led by the nose to then spend all their real<\/em> time and energy defending, not the unborn, but kidnapping children, murdering refugees in the desert by thirst, robbing the poor of food from their empty bellies and now an incredibly dangerous and unjust war.\u00a0 All their \u201cprolife victories\u201d are an imaginary sham.\u00a0 All their sadistic cruelties are terribly, terribly real as they did evil that good might come of it.<\/p>\n

The hour is getting very late for the \u201cprolife\u201d MAGA Cult.\u00a0 Repent or face the terrible truth of Uncle Screwtape\u2019s warning:<\/p>\n

To get the man\u2019s soul and give him\u00a0nothing\u00a0<\/em>in return\u2013that is what really gladdens our Father\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n
