Back in 1996, Steve Martin did a remake of Sergeant Bilko, the great Phil Silvers character who is the biggest con man in the US Army.<\/p>\n

One scene that always sticks with me as the perfect metaphor of the GOP abortion strategy comes where Sergeant Bilko is trying to threaten somebody while having zero intention of carrying out the threat.\u00a0 \u201cHold me back!\u201d he shouts while transparently signaling to his men that he really does want them to hold him back so he doesn\u2019t have to fight.<\/p>\n

As I have repeatedly said, the so-called \u201cprolife\u201d GOP is a massive con that has, for 40 years, taught the most self-deluded political subculture in the US\u2013\u201cprolife MAGA cultists\u2013that any day now it is just about to magic abortion away, overturn Roe<\/em> and restore America to Edenic glory.<\/p>\n

Yeah.\u00a0 About that<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201dI\u2019ll give you an example,\u201d Paul continued. \u201cLast year, I tried to attach to a spending bill a prohibition to have any money spent by Planned Parenthood. You know what happened? [GOP leadership] sat me down and one of the senior Republican senators said, \u2018We cannot have the vote today.\u2019 I said \u2018why?\u2019 He said \u2018we might win.'\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Shocked audience members could be heard gasping in disbelief at Paul\u2019s anecdote, before he added that the senior Republican senator in the room simply smiled at him when asked if getting Democrat support was more important than unborn children\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Dear MAGA prolifers: Consistent Life Christians told you that you were suckers. But you were and remain too full of pride to listen. Your \u201cprolife\u201d GOP Crime Syndicate has no intention of doing anything but dangling the carrot in front of you so that you will keep whoring yourselves out for every evil they have taught you to love and defend while lying to yourselves and the world that you believe in the sanctity of human life.\u00a0 If you still tell that lie in the full knowledge of the above (which you now possess) and the full knowledge that Trump declined to challenge Roe<\/em>, raised Planned Parenthood funding 8% last year and gave them another $550 million this year, you are no longer a mere sucker.<\/p>\n

You are an accomplice.\u00a0 If you say nothing about that while defending this:<\/p>\n

then kindly do us all a favor and stop wearying God and man with your disgusting lie that you \u201ccare about the unborn\u201d.\u00a0 What you care about is defending this sadistic cruelty (and every other Trump lie and scam) at any cost.\u00a0 The unborn only matter to you as human shields for that, because the party you support and the man you support are as pro-abortion as the Dems.\u00a0 They\u2019ve just figured out a scam for convincing you to support the evils they do while lying they magic abortion away in the Great Bye and Bye.<\/p>\n

And you choose to believe and spread that lie despite all the evidence against you.<\/p>\n

It is not too late to repent your lies and embrace the actual teaching of the Church which insists on the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death and not just those human beings the GOP does not want to rob, harm, kidnap, sexually assault, insult, humiliate, degrade, rape, bomb, poison, leave homeless, and kill.<\/p>\n
