Soon you will be punished by the state for failure to approve.<\/p>\n Speaking of which, here is La Shaidle <\/a>on the Love That Can\u2019t Keep its Story Straight (pardon the pun):<\/p>\n As Gay Pride revs up yet again, thoughtful people are asked to swallow, as it were, the same tiresome and illogical worldview held by so many professional homosexuals. <\/p>\n Somehow, they manage to believe and promote the following contradictory \u201cfacts\u201d at the same time: <\/p>\n * Gays are marginalized victims who live in the shadows \u2014 with their very own corporately sponsored parades and festivals that shut down major cities once a year. <\/p>\n * These pride parades have been going on for twenty years \u2014 BUT gays still claim to be as misunderstood, hated and persecuted as they were before Stonewall. Are these parades therefore ineffective? If so, what purpose do they serve? <\/p>\n * There is a \u201cgay gene\u201d \u2014 BUT \u201ceveryone is really bisexual\u201d and \u201csexuality is fluid\u201d \u2014 BUT despite said \u201cfluidity\u201d, gays cannot and do not \u201crecruit\u201d or \u201cgroom\u201d straight young people, ever. <\/p>\n * All the great people who ever lived were \u201csecretly gay\u201d, like Shakespeare. No bad people like Hitler were \u201csecretly gay\u201d \u2014 unless the pent up pain caused by their \u201csecret gayness\u201d was what really made them crazy murderers! <\/p>\n * Religious \u201cgay to straight\u201d treatments are considered a sinister, existential threat to gay culture \u2014 AND can\u2019t possibly \u201cwork.\u201d Anyone who turns \u201cstraight\u201d after therapy was never \u201creally\u201d gay anyhow, even though sexuality is fluid etc. The half dozen \u201cgay people\u201d I\u2019ve known in my life who later \u201cturned\u201d straight <\/a>(none of whom underwent treatment of any kind, but just\u2026 grew up) were also \u201cnot really gay\u201d during the years they were having sex with same sex partners, coming out to their parents with mixed reactions, marching in the Pride Parade, taking \u201cqueer studies\u201d and so forth. They were just \u201cgoing through a phase\u201d \u2014 even though a perennially popular queer t-shirt proclaims \u201cIt\u2019s Not Just a Phase!\u201d <\/p>\n * Gays commit suicide at high rates because everybody is persecuting them. Yet Lithuanians have the world\u2019s highest suicide rate <\/a>despite total non-existence of \u201cLithuan-ophobia.\u201d Russians also have a high suicide rate. Can we somehow blame \u201cresidual Cold War hatred\u201d? Discuss. <\/p>\n Blacks, Jews and women experience what leftists would describe as persecution, yet don\u2019t have comparable suicide rates. <\/p>\n Only gays practically brag about their alleged <\/a>suicide rates. (Are they neurotically and pathologically prone to romanticizing self-destructive behaviors? If so, why?) <\/p>\n * Gay activists claim domestic violence is no more common in gay relationships than in straight ones. If self-loathing caused by \u201chomophobia\u201d makes gays beat each other up, then what causes straight domestic violence again\u2026? <\/p>\n * Movies like All About Eve and Johnny Guitar, which feature no gay characters, are all \u201creally\u201d about gays. However, overwhelming evidence of actual gay behaviour in real life (such as the sexual abuse of teenaged boys by Catholic priests and Buddhist<\/a> monks) is NOT gay, even a little tiny bit. <\/p>\n * Does a movement based upon junk science, urban legends, romanticized non-history, a few sappy Hollywood films (in which, for some disturbing and mysterious reason, the gay characters all die<\/em><\/a>, sometimes horribly\u2026) and an (un)healthy dash of narcissism and neurosis really deserve so much respect?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
