If I recall correctly, you are in the Seattle area. Are you aware that the WA state legislature is having a hearing on a senate bill to push \u201cmarriage equality\u201d in place of domestic partnerships? The hearing is planned for Mon Jan 23rd at 10am. Bill in question (SB 6239) was introduced on the 13th and read the 16th. Gov. Gregoire called for this type of legislation earlier in the month, so she sounds ready to sign it if passed. And it seems to have 23 of 25 Senators needed for passage in the Senate.<\/p>\n
