A reader writes:<\/p>\n
Please pray for a dear friend, Trudy. She\u2019s had a long struggle with ovarian cancer and has lived years longer than predicted originally. She had emergency surgery yesterday. An artery in her leg has been attacked by the cancer and it broke. She is in a drug induced coma right now, but because her body is so weak from chemo and the cancer, it doesn\u2019t look like she\u2019s going to make it.<\/p>\n
Trudy started working in juvenile detention centers after her own children left the nest. She worked with a Catholic group giving retreats and helping troubled young men turn their lives around. She\u2019s been a blessing to many many young men, giving motherly advice and sharing her faith with them, encouraging them and giving them new paths to consider. So much good cheer, good sense and compassion! A beautiful witness to the love of Christ.<\/p>\n
If it isn\u2019t our Lord\u2019s holy will that she stay here among us, I pray that He prepares her to meet Him, and that Jesus turns His face to her family and friends who love her.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
