Look, if Sr. Simone tells us she\u2019s a moral imbecile<\/a>, who am I to disagree?<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
In the words of Forrest Gump,\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s all I\u2019ve got to say about that\u201d (though \u201cStupid is as stupid does\u201d also is apropos).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
What\u2019s notable here is that essentially the same strategy is deployed by everybody on both sides of the aisle when they want to rationalize their preferred grave intrinsic evil.\u00a0\u00a0So on the right side of the aisle we listened for years while \u201cconservative Catholics\u201d wearied God\u00a0with BS about how it was just sooooo hard to even know what torture was as they played tedious definitional games <\/a>in order to keep from facing\u00a0the fact that they were, in fact, advocating and defending not just the torture but the murder of prisoners.\u00a0Sr. Simone is playing exactly the same game, attempting to shroud the evil she is excusing in exactly the same veil of\u00a0fog <\/a>of vagueness and euphemism<\/a>.<\/div>\n
