A reader writes to ask for prayer for her friend:<\/p>\n

Kristin is raising 9 minor children alone after her husband walked out- please pray for her- her latest child support payment was $1.46- not a typo- see the check here <\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Father, hear our prayer for swift help to this woman and her children, and repentance for the man who has betrayed her. Heal this family and help this woman and these little ones. Holy Family, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n

Troops: there\u2019s a donate button at the link that will go to Kristin\u2019s Paypal account. If you can spare it, please send her some financial love. She\u2019s got 11 kids total. Here\u2019s where we live out our faith about being generous toward those who are open to life.<\/p>\n

I would like to request prayers for our pastor.<\/p>\n

Our associate pastor announced today at the end of Mass that Padre has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. He is a wonderful homilist with a great sense of humor. I would ask prayers for him, for his caregivers and for our parish.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing, for wisdom, skill, knowledge, and compassion for his caregivers, and for grace, peace and strength for him and all who love him. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for him. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.<\/p>\n
