Lego accused of racism with Star Wars set<\/a><\/h1>\n

Lego has been accused of racism by the Turkish community over a Star Wars model that supposedly resembles one of Istanbul\u2019s most revered mosques.<\/h2>\n

Austria\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Turkish community said the model was based on Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul and that the accompanying figures depicted Asians and Orientals as people with \u201cdeceitful and criminal personalities.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

The Turkish Cultural Community of Austria released a statement calling for Lego to apologise for affronting religious and cultural feelings.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
