Here is what is going on with the friends for whom I requested prayer:<\/p>\n
My friend who underwent surgery for lung cancer and had to be put into medically induced sleep after is now allowed a \u201csedation vacation\u201d and is responding by blinking, squeezing hands, and wiggling toes in response to questions.\u00a0 Is still receiving dialysis as his kidneys shut down after the operation.\u00a0 He still needs a lot of prayer but the doctors say he is making baby steps in the right direction.<\/p>\n
My friend\u2019s mom cannot have an operation for pancreatic cancer. They will go to palliative care.\u00a0 She and her family all need a lot of prayer.\u00a0 They\u2019ve been talking about how they will face the possible futures depending on what the MRI showed.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been praying a lot lately for my grandson, Sam, who I\u2019ve written to you previously about.\u00a0 He relapsed in his leukemia last month, and the doctors were baffled as to the reason.\u00a0 It took a month to sort it out, and now he is being transferred to the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda.\u00a0 We continue to pray for him, and hope they can get him back into remission so that he can have a bone-marrow transplant..\u00a0 He has maintained a good spirit through-out this time in spite of intense pain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
