My Ph.D. thesis advisor a baptized Catholic but life-long atheist, has contracted lung cancer. So far, the chemotherapy has been ineffective. He contracted pneumonia and was put on a respirator. His Catholic wife and daughther have reached out to me for prayers. This guy and his wife were like a father and mother to me after my parents died while I was in graduate school. I\u2019d like to pray for a cure, a conversion or both.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Father, we ask that you would grant this man the grace of a cure and a conversion to faith in your Son, Jesus Christ. Give his family and all who love him grace, strength and peace in this trial through the same Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for him that his heart would open to Christ. Amen.<\/p>\n
