My reader updates:<\/p>\n

Here is an update on the young man, recent college graduate, who has a job lined up in the tech field, who had that brain injury from the biking accident.\u00a0\u00a0 Progress is being made, praise be to God!\u00a0 Here\u2019s the latest from his mother and thank you and your readers for their prayers, they are making a difference:<\/p>\n

Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

Nico and I are home again for one day only to do\u00a0 catch up with the storages.\u00a0 We will be leaving soon to return to San Jose.<\/p>\n

David has been in rehab for 10 days today.\u00a0 Even the doctors are amazed at how quickly he is recovering.\u00a0 We are so thankful.<\/p>\n

Yesterday they changed his released date for the third time.\u00a0 We will now be bringing him home here to Coarsegold Wednesday or Friday.\u00a0 He will need 24 hour care.<\/p>\n

David can now walk again almost unaided.\u00a0 He can talk.\u00a0 He can swallow.\u00a0 He can eat regular food and drink now.\u00a0 He can go to the bathroom.\u00a0 The hardest area for him to recover in is cognitive.\u00a0 The words and numbers are in there and though he tries, many times they do not come out.\u00a0 But he is improving there also.\u00a0 It must be frustrating.\u00a0 He can describe it.\u00a0 He can tell you what it does.\u00a0 But he can\u2019t say what it is.\u00a0 David tires easily.\u00a0 He takes naps throughout the day.<\/p>\n

But he is alive and breathing.\u00a0 His doctor told Nico afterwards that only one out of ten patients who come in with the amount of brain injury that David sustained make it.\u00a0 They either die or are vegetables.<\/p>\n

The hospital is lining up therapy in Fresno.\u00a0 We will also look for peer support in the area too.<\/p>\n

Thank you for your caring thoughts and prayers.\u00a0 God has been good to us.<\/p>\n

It will be a new adventure.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
