When people tell me \u201cThe Virgin Birth is scientifically impossible!\u201d I\u2019m always tempted to say, \u201cI know<\/em>, right?\u00a0 It would take a miracle<\/em> for that to happen!\u201d<\/p>\n

The trouble is that people who say that never get my sense of humor.<\/p>\n

Anybody who appeals to \u201cscientific law\u201d to argue that miracles cannot happen is like somebody who says that his expertise in Constitutional law definitively proves that there are no such things as revolutions or a dinosaur at the end of the Cretaceous assuring us that the consistent experience of his fellow tyrannosaurs for the past several million years conclusively demonstrates that asteroids cannot affect dinosaurs in the slightest.<\/p>\n

\u201cScientific law\u201d is another term for \u201cthe habits of God\u201d.\u00a0 If he chooses to amend \u201cscientific law\u201d in the case of the Incarnation\u2026 well, God under carefully controlled laboratory conditions can do whatever he likes.\u00a0 Deal with it.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
