because the Obamas didn\u2019t go to Church for Christmas<\/a>\u2013like, you know, Reagan.<\/p>\nWe can\u2019t\u00a0borrow trouble by getting our undies in a bunch about dumb stuff.\u00a0 Lincoln, be it remembered, was assassinated while blowing off Church (because he was, ahem, not a Christian in any recognizable sense) and\u00a0taking in a play on Good Friday.\u00a0 Our political class has usually regarded Christianity as an ornament to the pursuit of power.\u00a0 And some (*cough* Jefferson *cough*) have been much more deeply hostile to Christianity in general and Catholic faith in particular than modern president dare to be.\u00a0 Obama is, indeed, hostile to the Church (see \u201cHHS Mandate\u201d) and amazingly hubristic in some of his (failed) attempts to boss Christians around (see, \u201cSupreme Court Smackdown of Hosanna Tabor case\u201d).\u00a0 But, come on: the fact that he didn\u2019t bother with Church is exactly as important as the fact that Reagan didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
