Would you mind asking your readers to pray for my 9 year-old son, Ian. We took him to the emergency room tonight with severe abdominal pains. The doctors don\u2019t know what\u2019s wrong yet and plan a CAT scan soon. In Jesus\u2019 name, we are praying.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Father, hear our prayer for Ian\u2019s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.\u00a0 Give his caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, compassion, skill and the proper technology to assist in healing him and give him and all who love him grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope and love that your Name may be glorified in his healing.\u00a0 Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them.\u00a0 We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!<\/p>\n

Please pray for me on the morning of February 11, as I will be having surgery at 8 a.m. for a basal cell carcinoma on my temple. Judging from the size of the area affected, it looks like I may end up with one or two inches of stitches. I had noticed some questionable marks on my face, so went to the dermatologist last week and the cancer was discovered. This will be my first treatment for skin cancer, although I was successfully treated for thyroid cancer in 2008.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Finally, a fellow Seattle asks prayers for our wonderful and beleaguered archbishop as he whethers the hostility of kids and parents who think they are being FutureChurch as they demand that the Church accomodate their dumb demand for gay \u201cmarriage\u201d:<\/p>\n

I\u2019m praying for your mom. \u00a0Clearly you\u2019ve had more pressing things to deal with lately than the latest culture skirmish in Seattle, but please pass on this prayer request for Abp. Sartain. \u00a0I\u2019m sure he knew at an intellectual level the type of friction he would receive as a faithful Archbishop in Seattle, but instructing us Seattlites on moral duties is like picking up a cat by the tail. \u00a0You just have to live it. \u00a0I\u2019ve remembered him during a couple rosaries lately because of the Eastside Catholic controversy, and please ask the minions to do the same. \u00a0Here\u2019s the latest:<\/p>\n
