Please pray for Dawn Eden.\u00a0 I\u2019ve just learned that she is at the hospital, facing surgery for basal-cell carcinoma.\u00a0 She\u2019s optimistic that she\u2019ll get a good result, but our thoughts and prayers would be appropriate.<\/p>\n

Father, hear our prayer for Dawn\u2019s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.\u00a0 Grant her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, skill and the proper technology to help in her complete healing.\u00a0 Give her and all who love her grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope and love.\u00a0 Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for her.\u00a0 We ask this through Christ our Lord.\u00a0 Amen!<\/p>\n

Thank you so much for asking prayers for me. Please tell your readers that I am very grateful. The incision was smaller than I expected, the doctor was able to remove all the cancerous tissue, and I am now doing very well<\/a>\u2013or maybe I should say \u201cswell\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Father, praise to you and thanks for this successful surgery through our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!<\/p>\n

Please pray for Fr. Anthony Cossavella, my parish\u2019s parochial vicar. His mother, Bruna, died last Wednesday, mass and burial were yesterday. Within an hour of the burial, the medical examiner announced that the death was a homicide (she was found at the foot of the stairs in a pool of blood, but the blood turned out to be from stab wounds, not a fall). She lived in the next parish over, her husband was deceased and Fr. C was her only child. He had requested the assignment here to be close to her. Please pray for Father, for Bruna\u2019s soul, our whole parish, and a successful police investigation. There was no forced entry and nothing apparently missing from the home, so it sure seems someone specifically targeted an 89 year old woman (who happened to be a priest\u2019s mother). I\u2019ve got rocks in the pit of my stomach thinking on it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Father, hear our prayer for the repose of Bruna\u2019s soul and for Fr.\u00a0Cossavella in this dark hour.\u00a0 Give peace and\u00a0consolation to all who mourn her and help the police bring to justice the person who did this.\u00a0 Grant\u00a0repentance and mercy to that\u00a0person.\u00a0 Mother Mary, pray for them all.\u00a0 We ask this through Christ our Lord. She was diagnosed with stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer last spring and entered hospice in November 2013. We were notified last night that she is nearing the end of her earthly life.<\/p>\n

Sr. Carol oversaw the Religious Ed department at St. Joan of Arc School in St. Clair shores for the last 15 years, and she has touched countless lives.<\/p>\n
