I sent you a prayer request about 4 years ago when my husband was laid off from his job. He was out of work for a few months then but then found a contract job that he worked for three years. That contract ended last year, and he hasn\u2019t been able to find a long-term solution since then. Unemployment benefits will be running out soon. We have been so richly blessed that I\u2019m almost embarrassed to ask for prayers, but if people could pray that my husband can find meaningful employment I would be most appreciative.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Father, grant this man a good job at a living wage to the glory of your Name. Give them peace and consolation till he finds it. \u00a0Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for him and his family. \u00a0We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.<\/p>\n

My boss was recently diagnosed with ALS. \u00a0I have been working with him for over 10 years and over the course of time, we have become friends. \u00a0He has only revealed his diagnosis to a limited number of individuals at work. \u00a0He is a bit of an agnostic \/ atheist, so I was quite surprised that when I offer to pray for him he was very appreciative. \u00a0In fact, at a later point he thanked me for my prayers, acknowledging how meaningful it was for me, and asked that I continue to pray for him.<\/p>\n
I would ask that people specifically pray for his healing, support of his community and for the conversion of his soul. \u00a0I would also ask for guidance of the Holy Spirit in my continued discussions with him, both for supporting him and continuing to be a light of Christ in his life. \u00a0I have been specifically asking for the intercession of Blessed John Henry Newman. \u00a0I think that my boss, being Scottish, would get a laugh out of a Brit interceding for him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Father, hear our prayer for this man\u2019s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit, especially that he would come to a saving faith in Jesus, in whose Name we pray. \u00a0Give him and all who love him grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope, and love. \u00a0And give his caregivers grace, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, skill and the proper technology and information to help in his treatment. \u00a0Mother Mary, St. Luke, and Blessed John Henry Newman, pray for him.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
