A reader writes:<\/p>\n
Jimmy is thirteen-years old. His dad is an alcoholic who abandoned his wife and Jimmy long ago, and Jimmy\u2019s mom has been incarcerated for much of his young life. She\u2019s been released from prison, but has since disappeared. <\/p>\n
Jimmy\u2019s grandparents, Joe and Karen, have been raising him since he was a baby. Karen\u2019s health has deteriorated over the past 18 months, and she\u2019s been hospitalized numerous times, requiring a dozen surgeries. Yesterday, Joe was diagnosed with liver cancer.<\/p>\n
As you might imagine, Jimmy already has crippling abandonment fears and anxiety. The fact that his grandparents (who are essentially his de facto parents) are ailing so badly has worsened his condition, to the point that he can\u2019t even make it through a day at school. The county now has to send a teacher to his home to educate Jimmy.<\/p>\n
Prayers are very badly needed, please.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Father, hear our prayer for this family that all may issue in the good of each person to the glory of your Name. Mother Mary, Undoer Knots, pray for them. St. Joseph, pray for them. Sts.
