Preschool Teachers & Subs Needed ASAP! Internships Also Available!<\/p>\n

JP2 Preschool (http:\/\/www.jp2preschool.com\/<\/a>), a private Catholic Preschool in the Redmond\/Kirkland\/Bellevue area, is looking for a Lead Teacher, assistant teachers as well as several substitute teachers to hire ASAP! We are a small school, offering a mixed age program for kids between the ages of 2 1\/2 and 6 years of age (potty training not required, so teachers must be ok with helping children use the restroom and change diapers when needed) . We are dedicated to providing a unique program, and looking for someone who is creative and dedicated to focusing on each child\u2019s individual needs. We have an incredible family-like student and parent body who is truly dedicated to their children\u2019s well-being,and excited to bring some new faces into the family \ud83d\ude42 Teachers must be passionate about their work and have a genuine love for children. Candidates must have experience and genuinely enjoy working with 2 year olds but also have experience working with children up to the ages of 6 (need experience with pre-k classes and preparing the older children for kindergarden). Also preferable is training\/education in Early Childhood Education. This is a Catholic program so teachers must also have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and have knowledge of the Catholic faith and Church\u2019s teachings, and willing to implement these elements into the Curriculum.<\/p>\n

Students who have finished and\/or are finishing their degrees and looking for hands-on experience or an internship are encouraged to apply as well! Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Education internships are available. Internships include supervision in a child development setting. Applicants must posses 1 year experience teaching in a Preschool setting. Please contact us if you are interested!<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/p>\n

*Must have an understanding of Early Childhood \/Preschool-age Development and be able to plan activities in their active learning stages, while providing a program that is filled with sensory experiences that emphasize the importance of their environment and relationships. We also accept kids that are Pre-Kindergarten age so teachers must have an understanding of state requirements for Kindergarten and be able to implement these requirements into the Pre-Kindergarten program, as well as a focus on group play to develop social skills, such as listening, sharing, and cooperation.<\/p>\n

*Must be capable of planning a full curriculum (age-appropriate academics, art, social sciences, science, culture, religion, history, geography, music,\/songs, math, monthly calendar for parents)<\/p>\n

*Must TRULY ENJOY the 2 year olds and be capable of teaching class with the mixed age group, while attending to the 2 year olds\u2019 needs (such as potty training)<\/p>\n

*Must be able to conduct class alone with 10-12 kids (usually there is a ratio 1:6, classes have max of 12 kids but teacher must be comfortable in a classroom alone with 12 kids when necessary)<\/p>\n

*This is an All Year Program (no summers off)<\/p>\n

*Class Hours:
\nMorning Class:\u00a09:00am-12:00pm<\/a>
\nAfternoon Class:\u00a01:00-4:00pm<\/a>\u00a0(not currently open)<\/p>\n

*** Teachers MUST be punctual and arrive for class early, and stay after daily to clean-up. Absences are in case of emergencies only and\/or time-off\/vacations which has been approved far in advance. We are a very small school with only 1 Lead teacher for each class so we must have someone completely dedicated to being here year-round***<\/p>\n

*We are also looking for Substitute Teachers on an on-call basis [local is preferred and\/or available to come in on short notice (for emergency purposes when Lead teacher cannot come in or during vacations, etc.)]<\/p>\n

Ideal candidate has current 1st Aid \/CPR, Food Handlers, Bloodbourne Pathogens, STARS and able to pass a Background Check. These need to be current or MUST be complete within 30 days of hire, if other qualifications are met.<\/p>\n
