For your penance, try reading St. Paul\u2019s advice to Timothy, which says of new bishops (and others who would presume to pontificate, \u201cHe must not be a recent convert, or he may be puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil\u201d (2 Timothy 3:6). Somewhat more appropriate for a new convert with your track record than, \u201cThe problem is my political opponents\u201d would be something more like \u201cI am the chief of sinners.\u201d If you want to place blame for the destruction of the family, try the mirror, dude. Dems have huge problems, but you are not the Messenger. Get some humility. Your reception into the Church was not the moment when God gratefully accepted your willingness to trust him. It\u2019s the moment when (in theory at least) you became a disciple of Jesus Christ and said, \u201cHave mercy on me, a sinner!\u201d<\/p>\n
