Spirit was good, body bad.  Two moral systems came from this.  One said, \u201cThe body is worthless, so treat it like a piece of crap.\u201d  The other said, \u201cThe body is worthless, so you can do whatever you like with it, my lad!  Wheeeeee!!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Darwinism has tended to create something analogous.  One says, \u201cHumans are no different than any other animal.  So let\u2019s experiment on them, chop them up for spare parts, and treat them like old dogs when they get inconvenient.\u201d  The other says, \u201cHuman are no different than any other animal.  So let\u2019s treat every animal as a creature which is as close to being human as possible.  Let\u2019s give rights to chimps, dress dogs in clothes, and tear our hearts out in compassion for the feelings of the salmon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It seems to be a long-standing pattern with that mindset, producing Nazis who could slaughter by the millions, but feel deep sympathy for their German Shepherds.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PETA Outparodies Itself Save the Sea Kittens!
