That\u2019s because there were some evildoers among the commenters, using the rest of the commenters as human shields so they could lob lies and various vicious insults at people. Some people I have banned. All I have deleted except for my own comments. That\u2019s because you can all trust that my account of things is accurate and no independent verification of that is needed or allowed. True, there were a number of so-called \u201cinnocent\u201d commenters who were (at least on the surface) saying and doing nothing wrong. But Combox War is hell and I can hardly be blamed for just going ahead and blowing them all away in order to deal with the bad guys. In fact, I\u2019m sure everybody will cheer for what I did and support the total news blackout in that combox, since everybody knows that I am, most definitely, the beleagured underdog here (after all, there\u2019s only one of me and hundreds of you) and all complaints about my so-called \u201cinjustice\u201d to the so-called \u201cinnocent\u201d posters is really due to their placing themselves in harm\u2019s way when I, with limited resources of time and energy, can\u2019t take the time to carefully read each and every post and figure out exactly who said what and why. <\/p>\n One final note: please do no send me a bunch of sob stories about how your post was deleted. If it\u2019s critical of what I did in any way, I will know by that very fact that you are on the side of those vicious commenters who were using others as human shields.
