Greetings from the hinterlands of Anglicanism.<\/p>\n

I was directed to a couple of your responses to the looney toon wing of the Roman church. I have enjoyed them, but I think I should let you know that as an Episcopalian who is 100% behind female ordination, all the way to the Archibishopric of Canterbury, and also 100% behind the ordination of gays, all the way up, and an American world citizen who believes that abortion not only must be legal but that if religions teach it properly can produce some good, I, and people like me, see Francis the Bishop of Rome as one of us.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I know you do. The delusions about Francis are strong in both extremes. He\u2019s going to be a crushing disappointment for you on all that stuff.<\/p>\n

We are confident that he is leading the Roman church to get fully on the path that we are blazing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Narcissists are always loyal to the Third Vatican Council and certain the Zeitgeist, which they mistake for the Spirit, will vindicate them.<\/p>\n

He is one of us in terms of foundational philosophy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Um, no. He\u2019s not.<\/p>\n

And he intends to posiiton the Roman church so that it can never turn back, so that it must go forward, progressing just as we have.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nothing he has said or done actually bears out this delusional belief at all. \u00a0Quite the contrary<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So my question to you is: Will you stay the path Francis is treading even when that means embracing Bishop Gene Robinson as a legitimate successsor to the Apostles?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I tend not to bother my head about \u201cWhat if God and Superman got in a fight?\u201d counter-factuals. The real question is, \u201cHow will you cope when none of your delusions occurs?\u201d<\/p>\n

May you be blessed in your walk of faith, finding that which is best for you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
