Hey, Everybody! \u00a0We have two weeks until the annual Panhandle Autism Society\u200b Walk for autism awareness!<\/p>\n
Joshua is working every day to battle this condition, learning how to regulate his emotions, and improve his expressive language. \u00a0This week at his Parent\/Teacher conference we discussed that his IEP in May will involve discussing if he can move to our neighborhood school next year as opposed to the wonderful program he\u2019s been involved at the school in the district that has an autism program. \u00a0Joshua has been wanting to go to the same school as his older brother Michael and he just may get his wish!<\/p>\n
The therapies that Joshua is involved with 5 days a week, is helping him and our family, as we work with him in his recovery. \u00a0The Panhandle Autism Society plays a huge role in our community in supporting kids and families along this road. \u00a0Click on the links to find out how much, but most of all, please see what you can to donate to help kids like Joshua with a donation. \u00a0We are trying to raise $1000 towards PAS\u2019 goal of trying to raise a total of $5000. Joshua\u2019s fundraising team is only 57 people away from achieving our personal goal if these 57 could donate a mere $10.<\/p>\n
In the past year the Panhandle Autism Society (PAS) has granted to individuals and their families over $10,000 for communication devices, sensory biomedical materials. In addition to the grant program, PAS provides training and resources to families and community members regarding Autism. They host several support groups twice a month for teens, young adults and adults. They have had several requests for creating preschool and elementary school age social groups but need your help to make this happen. We are hoping to raise $5,000.00 to fund the materials and staff necessary to implement these two support groups.<\/p>\n
