Next year, for sure, the GOP promises to care about the unborn. They swear to Moloch!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nHere\u2019s an idea: how about we stop trimming the Faith to fit the demands of the GOP and start embracing the whole of Catholic teaching? \u00a0How about we abandon the Lesser of Two Evils approach (which yields evil), reject the anti-abortion-but-not-prolife model, reject the use of the unborn as humans shields for all the rest of the GOP\u2019s eager support of the culture of death, reject pretending that it\u2019s \u201cabortion vs. the rest of the Church\u2019s teaching\u201d, stop treating the Pope like the enemy, and listen to the whole \u00a0teaching of the Church, including the stuff that sounds \u201cliberal\u201d to Movement Conservatives. \u00a0It has the advantage of never having been tried, as well as of being the obviously right thing to do. \u00a0And the results can\u2019t suck worse than the results of a failed 35 year program of enslavement to the GOP agenda.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
