<\/iframe><\/p>\nThis is what you will spend all your time defending, not the unborn.<\/p>\nThat\u2019s the paradox rejecting Whole Life Catholic thinking. You imagine you will get a prolife candidate who will work for you. Instead, you enslave yourself to a pro-death candidate and wind up working for him\u2013spending all the time and energy you might have spent defending the unborn defending every stupid racist, religiously bigoted thing that comes out of his mouth\u2013beginning with elaborate rationalizations about why he is not really a racist. He will send you off to battle the Church\u2019s teaching on racism and religious liberty and you will neither serve the unborn, nor get a damn thing from him\u2013a complete Faustian Bargain in which, as Uncle Screwtape gloats: \u201cTo get the man\u2019s soul and give him nothing <\/em>in return\u2014-that is what really gladdens our Father\u2019s heart.<\/p>\nIn contrast, if you simply embrace the whole of the Church\u2019s teaching and refuse to make excuses for obvious evil or fight the Church at the bidding of Culture War liars, you suddenly find you have all this free time to so what you claim in your non-negotiable: defending the unborn.<\/p>\nBe more prolife, not less. Stop defending evil and using the unborn as human shields to do it. Oppose abortion *and* racism.
