1. We *must* vote for Donald Trump because, even though he is a racist misogynist swine who mocks the disabled, takes vengeance on infant nephews with cerebral palsy, spits in the faces of POWs while bragging about his draft-dodging years of fornication as his \u201cpersonal Vietnam\u201d, speaks of nuclear war as political viagra, wants to burn the first amendment, calls for war crimes and torture and murder, and is the most dangerous dunce ever placed within reach of the White House, there is just a whisker\u2019s chance that he might do something about abortion. Yes, this man who is on record as saying the \u201claws are set\u201d and should not be changed *might*, conceivably, accidently nominate a prolife SCOTUS judge as he searchs for a toady who will not get in the way of his tyrannical exercise of power. And that microscopic chance of a change in the law is sufficient reason to support this extinction level event for President. Changing the law is *everything*! If it can save just one life to outlaw abortion, it is worth it!<\/p>\n
2. Changing our gun laws is worthless. Criminals don\u2019t obey laws. They will just find some way to do it. If you can\u2019t save every life from gun violence why even bother trying. You can\u2019t outlaw murder. When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Law is futile.<\/p>\n

Compare and contrast all of the above with a Catholic Whole Life\/Consistent Ethic of Life approach that says \u201cProtect all life from conception to natural death.\u201d Which one actually protects human life? Which one cynically uses the unborn as human shields for prioritizing culture of death fetishes popular with conservatives while delivering nothing in terms of stopping abortion? Which one seeks to save lives from gun violence? Which one seeks to line the pockets of what Pope Francis calls a \u201cbrazen\u201d gun industry while smothering any attempt at so much as studying <\/em>the problem?<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 1.
