Here is the view of race in Trump\u2019s America. \u00a0Something called \u201cThe Patriot Federation\u201d writes: \u201cYou\u2019re protesting because you\u2019re oppressed? \u00a0If you were actually oppressed, you wouldn\u2019t be allowed to protest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yes. Since King and the Civil Rights movement\u00a0had a legal right to protest, being murdered, bombed, lynched, burned, shot, beaten, hosed, bitten by dogs, denied housing, forced to use separate entrances and water fountains, and denied the right to marry were not oppression at all. \u00a0Same goes today for those protesting innocent people being killed by cops and beaten up by Trump supporters (with Trump\u2019s encouragement). Bunch of whiners.<\/p>\n

Scott Eric Alt remarked that for years he told liberals who accused the right of racism, \u201cThat\u2019s not what we\u2019re about.\u201d I did the same and, like Scott, genuinely believed that. Then, when Trump ascended, he found himself, to his astonishment, telling conservatives, \u201cThat\u2019s not what we\u2019re about!\u201d Me too.<\/p>\n

But, as Trump and his base (2\/3 of whom *still* believe Obama to be a Kenyan Muslim) aggressively made clear, that *is* what they\u2019re about. Conservatives who realized that liberals were right about their critique have abandoned this racist barbarism and its Vandal Chieftain and are politically homeless. Conservatives in denial are saying the stupidest thing possible: \u201cOh, liberals have been saying that for years! You gonna listen to liberals? Then you must *be* a liberal! I bet you secretly support abortion, doncha?\u201d And so the unborn once again get dragooned into acting as human shields for the *real* priorities of this demented political subculture.<\/p>\n

And the most amazing part? The same political subculture that says stuff like the \u201cPatriot\u201d quote above simultaneously whines about \u201coppression\u201d when Macy\u2019s greeters say \u201cHappy Holidays\u201d or Starbucks coffee cups don\u2019t suit them. And they buy it hook, line and sinker when a racist fraud who sees no need to ask God for forgiveness<\/a> leads them to an exceeding high mountain and bids them bow and worship him with these words<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they don\u2019t want to say \u2018merry Christmas\u2019 in department stores anymore. I won\u2019t shop at places that don\u2019t say \u2018merry Christmas.\u2019 Guess what? I don\u2019t too much shopping,\u201d he said to applause. \u201cNo, no, it\u2019s true. When I see these stores, and they have a red wall and they have nothing on it. They don\u2019t want to say \u2018merry Christmas\u2019 anymore. I say, \u2018Why don\u2019t you say merry Christmas?'\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump vowed to change the department-store situation when it comes to wishing people \u201cmerry Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll tell you one thing: I get elected president, we\u2019re going to be saying \u2018merry Christmas\u2019 again. Just remember that,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd by the way, Christianity will have power, without having to form.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cBecause if I\u2019m there, you\u2019re going to have plenty of power. You don\u2019t need anybody else. You\u2019re going to have somebody representing you very, very well. Remember that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is the face self-proclaimed Real Christians in America present to the world and their children. Not surprisingly, they are losing their children<\/a>. It\u2019s not that the Nones are rejecting God so much as they are rejecting the bizarre funhouse mirror thing that is Real American Christianity[TM]. They, in fact, respond powerfully to Pope Francis and saints like Mother Teresa. It\u2019s just that Real Christians[TM] treat Pope Francis as the gravest threat they face and the Nones are not stupid and see that.<\/p>\n

We have a chance to evangelize the rising generation. We are radically blowing it. Because when Trump says, \u201cIf I\u2019m there, you\u2019re going to have plenty of power. You don\u2019t need anybody else\u201d Real Christians[TM] believe that, and don\u2019t grasp that \u201canybody else\u201d includes God.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
