As you may have heard Patrick Werick is in the hospital and is very ill.
\nThe doctors are diagnosing it as granulomatosis with polyangiitis or Wegener\u2019s. It is an autoimmune disease that affects the lungs and kidneys.
\nMany of you are already praying for his recovery, and at the moment his prognosis is promising. But as any of you who have been in the hospital can attest, the tests and subsequent treatment are expensive.
\nAll of you on my friend list know Paddy, some better than others.
\nI know him to be an exceptional man, a devout Catholic, a talented musician, a dedicated husband, a doting father, and a good friend.
\nI also know that he is one who was generous, with his talents, his wisdom and his wit.
\nTherefore I am asking all of you to be generous and contribute.<\/a> I don\u2019t expect to make this goal, but every little bit will help offset the medical bills and time away from work.
