The only future of the prolife movement is moral suasion, not the fantasy of overturning Roe<\/em>. \u00a0This makes that more and more difficult.<\/p>\n

People like Aimee Christine Murphy, her Life Matters Journal<\/a><\/em>, and Feminists for Life<\/a>, Charlie Camosy<\/a> and his emphasis on respecting\u00a0both women and children (and all human life) are the future of the prolife movement<\/a>. \u00a0Strangely, they all reflect the consistent life ethic of Church and not the endless habit of using the unborn as human shields to defend every repulsive thing Trump and the GOP say and do in defiance of the Church.<\/p>\n

The blind folly of \u201cVote for the Misogynous Sex Predator or the Baby Get it\u201d entrenchment of the Prolife Establishment (now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Donald Trump) is destroying the future of the prolife movement.<\/p>\n

If you are serious about fighting for the lives of the unborn, then make your voice heard in opposition to supporting and excusing a sex predator. \u00a0If you don\u2019t want to vote for Clinton, you don\u2019t have to. \u00a0I\u2019m not. \u00a0But for the love of God do not let the Prolife Establishment tar the noble fight for human life with\u00a0the stink and stain of this vile sex predator. \u00a0With its foolish support of Trump, it\u00a0has already done much to make clear that it will defend everything he says and does\u2013torture, war crimes, cheating business partners, racism, misogyny\u2013no evil is too grave for the Establishment so long as the lie that he cares about abortion is maintained. \u00a0But its utter lack of prudence when even the Republican leadership is bolting, \u00a0its \u201cstay the course!\u201d monomania\u00a0when all people of common sense can see it is not only the evil but *stupid* to keep defending this sex predator has made it clear that a new leadership is desperately needed before the Establishment flies the prolife plane right into a mountain.<\/p>\n

Such a protest is naturally attacked with the filthy lie\u00a0that I want babies to die. \u00a0False. \u00a0I want children to be saved and I want the prolife movement to thrive and go from strength to strength and glory to glory. I want the witness of the Church to be a wonder to the the world and a daunting threat to the forces arrayed against human life from womb to tomb. But we do not do that by bowing down to a sex predator when he lead us to a high mountains, shows us the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and says \u201cAll this will I give you if you worship me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Russell Moore is right. \u00a0Trump has destroyed the Christian Right. \u00a0The sooner they figure that out and repent, the sooner the witness of the Church and the prolife movement can be restored. \u00a0What shall it profit a man to gain the White House and lose his own soul?<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
