Now she has come out as pro-choice.<\/a><\/p>\n

There was a time when I would have assumed that such a position would instantly alienate her from \u201cprolife\u201d conservative Christian. \u00a0I\u2019m no longer confident of that. \u00a0I think the general reaction will now be, \u201cUnfortunate. \u00a0But let\u2019s not let that blind us to all the really good things she has to say about contempt for and cruelty to the least of these.\u201d \u00a0She\u2019s not going anywhere and she\u2019s not going to lose her \u201cprolife\u201d Christian audience.<\/p>\n

And that, in a nutshell, is everything wrong with the \u201cprolife\u201d movement.<\/p>\n
