My neighbor the Travel Guru gives four million samoleons to house dozens of homeless women and kids.<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019m pretty sure he\u2019s not a Christian (judging from some of the commentary on his shows). But guess what? Neither are any of the people in the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats. That\u2019s the point of the parable: it\u2019s about the judgment of the Nations\u2013the goyim, the people outside the visible covenant people. That\u2019s why they are all, sheep and goats, surprised by the judgement and ask, \u201cWhen did we see you hungry, thirsty, naked, sick, in prison, etc?\u201d They had no clue that what they were doing or not doing was being done or not done to the King. They just thought they were a) doing the decent thing or b) blowing off some losers who didn\u2019t matter in the Grand Scheme of Things.<\/p>\n

Rick Steves did the decent thing. If he has not yet made the connection between those women and kids and the King, the King certainly has and that is a hope sign for Steves when he\u2013as he surely will\u2013meets the King on That Day.<\/p>\n

By the way, Steves heavily supports Bread for the World<\/a>. For EVERY DOLLAR (not just the profit) spent now through midnight tonight on his website <\/a>he will match it in a donation to Bread for the World. Anyone need travel guides or luggage?<\/p>\n

I love those matching gift thingies. Get more bang for the buck, more rubble for the ruble, more tons for the pound, more slurpee for the rupee, more gyros for the Euro.<\/p>\n
