Those having recommendations may apply at 62 Eldridge Street.\u201d A <a href=\"http:\/\/tigger.uic.edu\/~rjensen\/no-irish.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">popular song <\/a>of the day spoofed the ad:<\/p>\n<p><strong>NO IRISH NEED APPLY.<br><\/strong><em>I\u2019m a dacint boy, just landed from the town of Ballyfad;<br>I want a situation: yis, I want it mighty bad.<br>I saw a place advartised.
