Create Missional Communities, Not Disciples<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Well, truthfully, it was a slow blog week for me last week, but I did manage to crank out a pretty thought-provoking post that generated some great discussion in the comments. Mustard Seed Associates Breaking New Ground<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 I passed along an exciting opportunity to support some true pioneers of the missional church movement, Tom and Christine Sine of Mustard Seed Associates. Check it out and see what you can do to support their great work!<\/li>\n
<\/p>\n
$\"Jamie$ <\/a>Support Jamie Arpin-Ricci<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Another missional practitioner worth supporting is Jamie Arpin-Ricci and his family in the West End of Winnipeg, Canada. They\u2019ve recently lost 1\/3 of their financial support, so they are trying to make up the difference by raising $12,000 online from supporters all over the world. Jamie wrote the book The Cost of Community<\/em>, and his blog<\/a> is a source of ongoing inspiration and challenge to live missionally in Canada and beyond. Please consider giving to support their work if you can!<\/li>\n

First Home Project<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Jarrod McKenna is this amazing Australian activist and leader, and he and his wife Theresa just completed an online fundraising campaign to raise $600,000AU in order to build a housing project for homeless refugees. It\u2019s an amazing story! Check out their update video:<\/li>\n
<\/iframe> \n<\/p>\n<li><a href=\"www.huffingtonpost.com\/steve-knight\/what-i-said-to-the-sikh-community-in-charlotte-north-carolina_b_1758467.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">What I Said to the Sikh Community in Charlotte, North Carolina<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 As I mentioned in last week\u2019s Missional Monday post, I spent some time participating in a few meetings with the local Sikh community here in Charlotte, NC, where I live. Here\u2019s an article I wrote for The Huffington Post Religion section about my comments shared at a candlelight vigil last Wednesday night at the Sikh gurdwara in Charlotte. It was an incredible and humbling honor for me to be invited to speak to the entire Sikh community in this city. It impressed on me again how important it is to put down deep roots in a community, in a particular place, to be in it for the long haul and build relationships and friendships across these lines of division.
