If you haven\u2019t paid a visit lately to a blog over on the Evangelical Channel,\u00a0Cranach: The Blog of Veith (Christianity, Culture, Vocation)<\/em><\/a>, you probably should.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>First off, who is Gene Veith? \u00a0He is\u2026.<\/p>\n

Provost and Professor of Literature at\u00a0Patrick Henry College<\/a>, the Director of the\u00a0Cranach Institute<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Concordia Theological Seminary<\/a>, a columnist for\u00a0World Magazine<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0TableTalk<\/a>, and the author of 18\u00a0books<\/a>\u00a0on different facets of Christianity & Culture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Then, who or what was Cranach? \u00a0He was a friend of Martin Luther\u2019s who did much to promote the Reformation and serve the common good in his varied callings of businessman, politician, chemist, teacher, family man, and active church layman<\/a>. Gene writes,<\/p>\n

As a Christian who lived out his faith in his many different callings, Cranach thus embodies the Reformation doctrine of vocation, using the gifts God had given him in service to Christ and his neighbor in the church, the family, the workplace, and the culture.<\/p>\n
