Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Ken Clarke, a British cabinet\u00a0minister, has spoken out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2013\/11\/03\/us-religion-britain-veil-idUSBRE9A20F920131103\" class=\" rel=\"nofollow\">violate his religious freedom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0promise by Turkish PM Erdogan to <a href=\"http:\/\/english.alarabiya.net\/en\/News\/middle-east\/2013\/11\/04\/Sudan-woman-in-legal-limbo-over-refusal-to-cover-hair-.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">appeared in Sudanese court last Monday<\/a>, but it is yet unclear how her case will proceed.<\/p>\n<p>Women in Libya are reporting an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/libya-women-report-increased-harassment\/1781596.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">increase in sexual harassment<\/a> after the revolution.<\/p>\n<p>Purbalingga, Indonesia\u00a0is the world\u2019s center of the eyelash-industry, a luxury that most of the predominantly female employees could never afford on their <a Islamophobia<\/em> says it has seen a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/quebec-muslim-women-scared-to-walk-alone-1.2416443\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">300 percent increase in complaints<\/a>\u00a0since the charter of Quebec values was proposed\u00a0and that many Muslim women in Quebec, Canada now fear to go out alone.<\/p>\n<p>Smoking a water pipe is something that Iranian women can\u00a0enjoy in a mixed-gender environment, but some members of Iranian parliament are now pushing for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.al-monitor.com\/pulse\/originals\/2013\/11\/iran-parliament-warns-women-smoking-hookah.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">ban on\u00a0smoking the hookah\u00a0for women<\/a>, claiming\u00a0this has larger health hazards for women than for\u00a0men.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>BBC<\/em> shares the story of 14-year-old Shafa,\u00a0one of the <a practices<\/a>, which provides extra income for the women\u00a0and an increase in agricultural output in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Israa al-Mudallal has been appointed by the <em>Hamas<\/em> to be the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aawsat.net\/2013\/11\/article55321243\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">first English-language female spokesperson<\/a>\u00a0for the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Policewomen in Malang, Indonesia are now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejakartaglobe.com\/news\/malang-policewomen-allowed-to-wear-hijab-on-fridays-despite-nationwide-ban\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">allowed to wear the hijab on the job<\/a>, but only on Fridays; Indonesia has banned female officers from wearing the hijab on duty.<\/p>\n<p>A Kuwaiti woman has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trust.org\/item\/20131103132850-ndv7n\/?source=hptop\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">arrested for driving in Saudi Arabia<\/a>.
