Just words. Loved them. I\u2019d go to the public library wherever we lived a number of times a week and visit the large <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/pw\/by-topic\/industry-news\/tip-sheet\/article\/54348-the-story-behind-the-most-controversial-dictionary-ever.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Merriam Webster 2nd International Dictionary<\/a>, which almost always was set on its own stand in some place of honor. I\u2019d open it up on occasion looking for a word I\u2019d heard an adult use, but more usually just at random, and see what I\u2019d find. Of course one word would lead to another. I knew it was time to end when I came, as I invariably did, to the entry for \u201cNarwhal,\u201d the unicorn of the sea. I\u2019d look at the engraving, and then close the book and turn to whatever was next. <\/p>\n<p>I had no idea where that word play might lead.<\/p>\n<p>It was just fun\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zSGWoXDFM64\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a child I had a fascination with words.
