Jan & I are off to Manhattan.<\/p>\n

Except for a lovely weekend at Tanglewood this past August, we\u2019ve not had time \u201coff\u201d in about a year, a little more. And, boy, are we looking forward to this time to be together and fool around in museums, walks around town and taking in a play or two.<\/p>\n

Sadly I see the weather promising rain and snow over the weekend. But I suspect we\u2019ll do fine.<\/p>\n

As native Californians transplanted to New England, it was a bit of a shock to learn that when people spoke of the City with that capital \u201cC,\u201d didn\u2019t mean San Francisco. Now while our roots are beginning to sink into New England\u2019s rocky soil, that city on the left coast will forever be a part of my heart and very much always with a capital \u201cC\u201d in it.<\/p>\n

That said, both Jan & I have come to love the really big \u201cC\u201d New York. (If not their evil baseball team. You know which one\u2026) Of course our experience is always touristy, but we don\u2019t care. What a town.<\/p>\n

Our hotel is supposed to have web access, so perhaps there\u2019ll be some reports from the Big Apple. But, then again, perhaps not\u2026<\/p>\n
