Some very good ups. For Jan &amp; me quite the year, taking the first deep steps into our retirement from our professional lives. Also, losses. I think of auntie a lot. Quite the year.<\/p>\n<p>For the planet, also a mixed bag. <\/p>\n<p>In case you\u2019ve forgotten, here is a somewhat sanitized accounting.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CV93ZECyU2I\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>True, sometimes its hard to see how we human beings are going to make it.<\/p>\n<p>Still, there is a way through. I know it. I know it in my bones.<\/p>\n<p>And who would have thought a 1938 episode from Popeye could show us in a very small way how that could be? And, no, it isn\u2019t about the spinach. Although, in fact we\u2019re going with black eyed peas for dinner, which, of course, includes collard greens. Close enough. I hope\u2026<\/p>\n<p>But, the good luck comes from another quarter, entirely.<\/p>\n<p>And with that, here you go, the great hint. From Popeye, of all, people.
