Felt deliciously wicked (a whole subject for further reflection, no doubt…)

And now at the office, every task feels numinous.

I’ve dropped some dates into my calendar for the Rhode Island Interfaith project that they’re trying to get off the ground. It’s local clergy wanting to focus on poverty issues. I’m also finally in the organizational loop for the UU Legislative Ministry, Rhode Island project. I think this is going to be a major outreach focus for me going forward, particularly as I gather there may be some supportive legislation for local involvement in Housing First, something I’m very interested in.

I do love that rhythm of reflection and engagement. Certainly our New England Christmas, particularly the Massachusetts version happens because nineteenth century Unitarians reclaimed it following a century of Puritan suppression. (They quite correctly saw it as a thinly Christianized pagan holiday.) I love the celebration of the birth of a baby and all the story that goes with it. Great stuff.
