I think Rilke is a shinning example of a spiritual artist drawing upon the common inspiration that gives life meaning and direction\u2026<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iGkHUTLZCLk\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iGkHUTLZCLk<\/a>\n<p>While preparing for this entry I found a lovely web page at the Nebraska Zen Center\u2019s website. Their lead teacher, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nonin_Chowaney\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Nonin Chowaney<\/a> is one of my favorite Western Zen teachers. At <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prairiewindzen.org\/zen_european_poetry.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">Zen in European and Middle Eastern Poetry<\/span><\/a> we find a range of poetry, including Rilke\u2019s, that point to that deeper place where all hurt and joy, longing and finding are reconciled\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/33904114-7868526053595221670?l=monkeymindonline.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rainer Maria Rilke was born on this day in 1875.
