<\/a>I\u2019ve been asked by a member of the Commission on Appraisal who first opined that Section C-2.3, \u201cSources,\u201d needs a conclusion, and so wanted to know what I thought a suitable ending sentence might look like if they deleted what I\u2019ve said is an unacceptable sentence.<\/p>\n
That original sentence reads:<\/p>\n
\u201cGrateful for the traditions that have strengthened our own, we strive to avoid misappropriation of cultural and religious practices and to seek ways of appreciation that are respectful and welcomed.\u201d<\/p>\n
I have summarized my opinions regarding this term and why I am strongly insistent that it be removed from the document in my immediately preceding blog post.<\/p>\n
In response to the question my best thought is replacing that sentence with something along the following lines.<\/p>\n
\u201cGrateful for the traditions that have strengthened our own, we strive to engage them with humility and respect.\u201d<\/p>\n
I believe that\u2019s the point.<\/p>\n
