Well, yesterday we emptied the house in Newton. Mostly. There is a rather large amount of stuff that needs to be hauled away, and then we need to clean the place up. But compared to what\u2019s been what we are close enough to done to feel a wave of relief.<\/p>\n
Spent the night in our apartment on the East Side. Learned the dishwasher doesn\u2019t work, nor the air conditioning unit in the living room. (Things being what they are we may not need the air before we leave, but it would be nice to have a dishwasher\u2026) We\u2019ve left a note for the building manager. That alone is a treat! It\u2019s someone else\u2019s problem\u2026<\/p>\n
I drove back up to the Boston area with Jan this morning and am now sitting in my office. I\u2019ll work on the eulogy for Sunday\u2019s memorial service and then start sorting through papers. Should there be additional time I\u2019ll start packing books, etc.<\/p>\n
Still don\u2019t feel a Rhode Islander, although I am feeling an internal shift in that direction\u2026<\/p>\n
