\n To Touch the Heart Mind<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\nThe Blue Cliff Zen Sangha announces our next sesshin, a three-day intensive Zen meditation retreat.<\/p>\n
Zazen, liturgy, zazen, talks, zazen, spiritual direction interviews, zazen, meals, zazen, work practice. And some more zazen.<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe sesshin starts on Thursday evening the 28th of June, 2018, and concludes with lunch on Sunday the 1st of July.<\/strong><\/p>\nOur lead teacher will be the Reverend James Myoun Ford. Myoun was a co-founder of Boundless Way Zen and is currently the senior priest of the Blue Cliff Zen network. He the author of a number of books on Zen in the West.<\/p>\n
Other priests and teachers will include the Reverend Gesshin Greenwood, author and a Blue Cliff Zen priest, the Reverend Gyokei Yokoyama, a Soto Zen priest and minister of the Buddhist<\/a> Church of Long Beach, Senior Dharma<\/a> teacher Jan Seymour-Ford, a lay teacher with Boundless Way and the Blue Cliff, and the Reverend Renshin Bunce, a Soto Zen priest, author, and hospice chaplain,<\/p>\nWe will be gathering at the Pine Mountain Buddhist Temple & Meditation Retreat\u00a0in the Ventura County Mountains of Southern California.<\/p>\n
$225 for the weekend<\/strong>. Scholarships are available.<\/p>\n(The fee does not include renumeration for any of the teachers or staff. Dana, a free-will offering will be accepted at the end of the sesshin in appreciation of those of the teachers who give talks and offer interviews, as well as for the tenzo (head cook).)<\/p>\n

It is remote, approximately forty miles from either of the nearest towns, Ojai, or Gorman on Interstate 5. A perfect setting for a Zen retreat.<\/p>\n
